TraumaCare.AI helps trauma and critical care teams work through questions that can change a patient’s care. For an orthopaedic trauma surgeon, that might mean assessing whether a polytrauma patient is physiologically ready for definitive fixation, identifying preoperative risks buried in a complex chart, or evaluating how a worsening condition alters a staged surgical plan.

The platform uses predictive AI to assess a patient’s changing risk. We are extending it with an AI clinical investigation agent that traces relevant evidence through the chart, guided by risk signals and clinical reasoning. Each finding shapes what the agent investigates next. Surgeons can inspect the underlying evidence to uncover what might be overlooked and judge its significance before deciding how to act.

Published trauma research provides the foundation for this work. Through the OTA AI Playground, members can explore synthetic cases and help shape an AI learning system around real-world orthopaedic trauma decisions.
